DESCRIPTION:Have you been considering turning part\, or all\, of your lawn into a wildflower meadow? Learn the basics by joining Sarah Fleming and Louisa Renn for a watch party of “LAWN TO MEADOW: A LIGHT AND GRADUAL TRANSITION.” The Class will be conducted by sustainable horticulturist\, Sara Weaver Cooper. Sara Weaner Cooper\, New Directions in the American Landscape’s executive director\, began her role with NDAL in 2018 as educational program coordinator. Sara and her husband Evan Cooper’s home landscape\, an experimental yet highly successful organic transition from lawn to native meadow\, was featured by the BBC in 2025 and in “The New York Times” in 2024. \nWHO: Open to all members and friends. Free. No need to RSVP\, just show up! \nWHEN: Wednesday\, October 23 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm. Prior to the virtual presentation\, there will be time for a quick tour of the emerging meadow between Sarah’s and Louisa’s yard\, now at the end of year one in our lawn-to-meadow transition.
