“All About Rain Gardens” Presentation

Speaker: Christopher C. Obropta, PhD, PE, Professor in Environmental Sciences, Rutgers University. Dr. Obropta from the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program will present “All About Rain Gardens.” Learn how rain gardens help reduce flooding, improve water quality, and beautify communities by capturing and filtering stormwater naturally. Dr. Obropta’s specific experience includes watershed restoration, wastewater treatment system design and management, total maximum daily load (TMDL) studies, stormwater management, wetland design, longshore sediment transport, and geographic information systems (GIS).
