Visiting Gardens – Cranberry Bog Tour

Please come experience the Cranberry Harvest in Whitesbog Village the site of the largest NJ cranberry farm since the early 1900’s,. You will find yourself surrounded by the Pinelands of NJ, a UNESCO site dedicated in 1983 and then redesigned as a single-site International Biosphere Region in 1988. These distinctions recognize the importance of the Pinelands’ rare ecosystems and the underlying Kirkwood-Cohansey aquifer system for their scientific and ecological value. It is the flooding of the Aquifer that initiates the Cranberry Harvest.
There is an Historic Village where we can lunch.
