Meet Our New Members!

Meet our new members for 2023-2024!

NANCY ELIZABETH BOWE

Nancy and her husband live in Rumson with their two sons. She received a BSN from the University of Virginia and a MSN from Boston University and worked as an Advanced Practice RN in Cardiology from 1986 until 2018. Nancy has an extensive commitment to volunteer service in civic projects through the Monmouth Park System and the education program designed to give back through the Rutgers Master Gardener program and the gardening program at Monmouth County’s Fulfill Food Bank program. She has also taken Navesink River water samples for lab analysis through the Clean Ocean Action Program. Nancy hopes to connect with Rumson Garden Club members to expand personal knowledge and contribute to activities that improve local environmental issues.

TERESA MAGUIRE

Teresa and her husband Jim live in Little Silver, where they raised their five boys. All the boys earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  Several of her boys’ projects focused specifically on beautifying outdoor areas in the community where she was happy to assist with her gardening knowledge. Teresa enjoys gardening and flower arranging and is especially interested in community outreach and environmental projects. She is known as a “doer” and has served on many committees in numerous organizations. Some of her service to the community includes restoration of the Pond at Sickles Park where she removed invasive plants and planted native plants from local ponds. She looks forward to bringing her many talents to the Rumson Garden Club.

GAIL VAN WINKLE

Gail and her husband Stuart live in Little Silver. Gail is a self employed Graphic Designer and artist. She received a BFA in Commercial Art & Design from Ringling College of Art.  She loves the outdoors and is a huge advocate for the environment. Gail also was a devoted board member of Monmouth Arts for 10 years.  She is a Sustainer in the Junior League and has held other Board positions through the years. She and her husband are members of Seabright Beach Club and the Shrewsbury Sailing & Yacht Club. Gail is happy for the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the Rumson Garden Club.
